Places to Eat in Gatlinburg

It’s highly likely that you’ve found The Village Shops when searching for shopping in Gatlinburg or the best shops in downtown Gatlinburg, but did you know we’ve also got some of the best Gatlinburg eats too?

Whether your plans are to ‘shop til you drop’ and refuel or have a full meal, head to The Village and satisfy your cravings.

Coffee & Company:  Hailed as the oldest family-owned roasting coffee shop in Gatlinburg, Coffee & Company is a local and visitor favorite.  For a small shop, they offer a big variety of coffee flavors – all of which they small batch roast themselves – and drink types.

Step right in and you’ll be greeted by friendly, knowledgeable staff who know how to create the perfect brew!  You’ll find staple flavors such as the Coffee & Company Espresso Blend, Black Bear Blend and Andes Mountain Colombian, but also seasonal specialties which may include Cozy Winter Nights, Dutch Apple Pie and Bailey’s Irish Cream just in time for the holidays.

Select your coffee ‘straight up’ or choose an espresso, latte, macchiato, cappuccino, or iced coffee.  Prefer tea or hot cocoa?  They have that too!  Pair your favorite drink with a cookie or pastry and you’ve got the fuel to keep you going.

The Donut Friar:  Is your visit to Gatlinburg even complete without a famous The Donut Friar donut or pastry?  This place is hopping in the wee hours of the morning so that at 5 a.m., you can grab a steaming cup of hot coffee and a fresh-from-the-oven cake donut or pillow.  The amount of treat options is amazing, and they’ll continue to roll out the choices every hour until the baking is done.  Holding out for their cinnamon bread?  It’ll be ready by 10 a.m.  (You can see their baking time line on their page in the photo gallery if you’ve got a specific treat in mind.)

Coffee selections are made with their own special blend of premium beans and include a straight cup of Joe, cappuccino, latte or espresso.  Be sure to take cash or use your card in their ATM.

Maddi Mae’s Cafe & Creamery:  Located in the previous Village Cafe & Creamery shop, Maddi Mae’s has continued to carry on the stellar reputation for quality and service.  While known as one of the best ice cream shops in Gatlinburg, they are so much more!  Not only do they have homemade ice cream that will knock your socks off, there’s coffee, espressos, lattes, frappes, Italian sodas, floats, slushies and energy drinks.

The food menu is small, but continually evolving and growing.  You’ll find 100% all beef hot dogs, cold cut sandwiches, and maybe even a Reuben.  You’re welcome to stop in to see what’s on the menu or call ahead!
